According to this theory , when a scientist reaches his intellectual limits he leaves the rest of the work and explain it as a miracle of GOD.
As before the era of Isaac Newton, planetary motion and planets were considered mysterious objects of the world. But Isaac Newton changed this misconception by revealing planets by his famous Laws especially Law of Gravitation i.e,
F=GMm/d^2.
where F is force of attraction between two bodies under consideration, M is mass of one object , m is mass of 2nd object and d is distance between these two objects. His laws were so accurate the scientists needed nothing more to build a rocket that landed man on moon. Like any human being Isaac Newton also had limitation intellectually. One of them was:-
If we apply his law of gravitation on our solar system it only tells force of two objects, but the truth is totally different in our solar system each planet including sun attract each other. for example if Sun attracts Earth, then Mercury also Earth and then Venus also attracts it, so system becomes quite complicated here Newton failed.
Also Isaac Newton predicted age of our universe and according to him our system would have been destroyed completely , so Newton said that there is a GOD who comes and refreshes the system which is keeping the system in work.
Later when Laplace came and worked on Newton's prediction and calculations of age of universe , he stated that Newton calculated wrong, age of universe is far more than what Newton calculated.
Similarly in many cases like this when scientists or philosophers get the result astonishing or totally against their predictions or calculations they call it work of GOD.
Once Gallelio had to face quite and opposition for his telescope. He distinguished Science and Religion quite well by saying: "Bible tells you how to go to Heaven not How Heaven goes".
